Maintenance and Maintenance of Lead-acid Batteries
1. The discharge depth of lead-acid batteries has a great influence on the cycle life of batteries. This is because the deeper the discharge depth is, the larger the expansion and contraction of the electrodes are, the more the active substances of the positive electrodes fall off, thus losing the discharge characteristics and decreasing their performance until the end of their life. Therefore, when using batteries, we should try to avoid deep discharge and do shallow discharge on duty. Generally, we should do this: when the discharge depth is about 70%, primary charge is the best (that is, when the remaining power is about 30%).
2. Continuous discharge (overdischarge) of lead-acid batteries after discharge to termination voltage will seriously damage the batteries, because it is very easy to form irreversible sulfation at this time, so that the recharging recovery ability becomes worse, or even can not be repaired. Therefore, overdischarge should be prevented in the use of storage batteries, "undervoltage protection" is an effective measure. Undervoltage protection is controlled by the electric vehicle controller, but because the electric appliances such as electric vehicle instruments and indicator lights are not controlled by the controller, the electric vehicle locks will start to use electricity once they are closed. Although the current is small, if the battery is discharged for a long time, the battery will be discharged. Therefore, the lock should not be unlocked for a long time and should be switched off immediately when not in use.
3. The charging current should be less than or equal to the acceptable charging current of the battery. Otherwise, the excess current generated by overcharging will cause the electrolyte to be consumed too quickly and cause serious gas evolution. The long time will make charging very difficult. Therefore, overcharging should be prevented as far as possible. Regular manufacturers of chargers can ensure that the battery is not overcharged.
4. Lead-acid batteries are especially afraid of discharging due to electricity deficit. If they are placed for 3-7 days, they may be permanently damaged. Therefore, please recharge them as soon as possible after they are used. For batteries that have not been used for a long time, they should be charged every other period to compensate for the loss of self-discharging power when the batteries are stored.
Reminds you: Lead-acid batteries have a certain life, grasp the correct use method is the key to prolong life. Why other people can use it for three, five or more years is not because the quality of batteries is different, but because they know more about maintenance than you do.
